Greater Miami Adventist Academy and Early Childhood Education seeks to attract motivated and talented applicants whose desire is to acquire an enriching Christ centered education. Admission to Greater Miami Adventist Academy may be granted irrespective of the applicant’s race, national origin, or religious affiliation. Applicants who meet academic and character requirements and express a willingness to comply with school policy and adjust affably to its religious, social, and cultural beliefs may be accepted.GMAA welcomes applications from young people of all cultural and religious backgrounds that are willing to conduct themselves in harmony with the ideals and standards expressed in our Handbook. Membership in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church is not required, but it is understood that everyone who is accepted thereby pledges to observe the regulations of the school.Application Process1.Complete and submit the online Application and payment ($100.00 non-refundable application fee). 2.Please bring, send, or attach (in online Application) the following documents:•Official School Transcripts and last report card stating promotion.•Proof of 8th grade graduation (for students entering the 9th grade)•Standardize Test scores•Three Recommendations from non-family members (from Principal/Vice-Principal, former or current teacher, and Pastor/Church Minister)•Copy of Birth Certificate•Current copy of IEP or 504, if applicable•Current original Immunization Record and Physical provided by Florida doctors/Health Department. All new students must have a new Physical and Immunization Record prior to the beginning of the school year.Admission DecisionUpon receipt of the above information the Admissions Committee will review and determine acceptability for all new applicants. You will be notified by email as soon as the Admission Committee has reached a decision. The Application Process must be complete before a decision can be made. Enrollment ProcessAfter the student has been accepted you will receive an email with a link and instructions to complete the Enrollment Process. This link will take you to the FACTS Management website and you will find the Enrollment Packet in the Facts Family Portal under Parent Login. Upon completion of the Enrollment Process; registration will be finalized at the school.FinancesOnce the online Enrollment Packet is completed, please contact our Business Office at 305-220-5955 to schedule an appointment to sign the Financial Agreement.Class Schedule (6th to 12th grade students only)Once the online Enrollment Packet is completed, please contact our Office at 305-220-5955, to schedule an appointment to prepare the Class Schedule. Uniforms and LockersSchool uniforms are sold in the office. Please see our Handbook for uniform requirements. Lockers are assigned by the Receptionist at the school office. Lockers are only for 6th to 12th grade students.Start Application Process: APPLY NOWAdditional InformationENTRANCE AGEThe entrance age for Pre-Kindergarten is four years before September 1st of the current school year. The entrance age for Kindergarten is five years before September 1st of the current school year. The age admission into the First grade is six years before September 1st of the current school year. Exceptions to this policy may only be granted by the Florida Conference of SDA Office of Education, which will base its consideration on the following requisites:•A letter from the parents requesting that the September 1st date be waived. •A high score on the Readiness Test. •A doctor’s written statement of the physical and emotional readiness of the child.ADMISSION RESTRAINTNew applicants with less than a 2.0 GPA may be denied acceptance. Students that are accepted with less than a 2.0 GPA will be placed on academic probation and will be required to attend the Tutoring Intervention Program.
